You will be provided with a full copy of the Terms & Conditions and General Travel Advice applicable to this safari program. Below are a few highlights that all guests must adhere to without exception for both the comfort and safety of all guests, guides and the flight crew.
Travel Insurance: It is a condition of this trip that all guests carry comprehensive travel insurance that MUST include:
- emergency medical that includes medical evacuation and medical repatriation
- trip interruption
Important: Some private hospitals in Southern Africa may not recognize some insurance policies. You must confirm with your insurance provider whether they will approve the use of private hospitals in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana.
Your Weight:
We will be travelling in small aircraft into remote areas. For the safety of all guests, guides and the cockpit crew each traveler is required to provide their body weight. At time of final payment you will be asked to provide your body weight. We may be required to weigh-in if there appears to be any discrepancies.
Passports/Visas/Entry Requirements:
All guests will be responsible to ensure they meet all requirements to enter each country. Your Departures Travel professional will be able to help you navigate these requirements.
Vaccinations/Other Medical Considerations:
All guests are asked to consult with a medical professional or travel clinic regarding possible mandatory vaccinations/recommended boosters. It may also be suggested by a medical professional that you consider malaria medication.
If you travel with an epi-pen or any other potentially life-saving medication this must be shared with the tour operator.
Luggage Restrictions:
Luggage, including both check-in and carry-on (handbag, backpack, camera equipment, CPAP machine, etc.), is restricted to 20 kg (44 lb) per person. The maximum dimensions of all bags which can be accommodated with Wilderness Air are as follows:
Size: 30 cm (11.8 inches) wide x 35 cm (13.8 inches) high and 70 cm (27.5 inches) long.
In Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe soft bags with a rigid structure at the base – including wheels and/or a collapsible handle – will be accepted. If luggage does not meet these requirements, guests will be asked to re-pack and incur additional costs to store luggage or make use of our excess luggage service. For the safety of all guests, the cockpit crew and guides there are no exceptions. You are asked to pack accordingly.
